"First I want to thank Johannes for his permission to use his photos to create this composition. My intentions for this painting was in no way to do a portrait piece but more in semi abstract. I find with painting portraits that everyone sees another in a different manner than maybe someone else would see them. I generally stay away from portraits but Johannes has such a beautiful face and his music projects his beautiful personality as well as his talent that the painting just went into this direction.
